It’s easy to see financial problems when you’re on the outside looking in. When you see your friends wasting money on stupid things you are quick to point it out because you can’t find the logic in why they are spending their money so irresponsibly.

It really does take a strong person to admit that they have a lot to learn when it comes to money, and sometimes it’s helpful to share criticisms of the way others spend their money because it helps us realize our own downfalls. One of the most eye opening money experiences I have ever had came when I asked myself, “Why doesn’t my paycheck get any bigger from week to week?” I would get paid every Friday and for some reason, I would expect the amount on the check to be different. Not because I felt entitled to more money, but because I was finally realizing that if I continued living the way that I was, I wouldn’t be able to reach my financial goals. It was at that moment that I realized I had to do something drastically different to reach my goal of financial freedom.
